Local Personal Representation

We take a hands-on approach to representation. At the Law Offices of Melanie Leavitt, you will meet your lawyer. Either Melanie or Adam will personally handle every aspect of your case including monitoring medical records for issues and working with you to resolve the issues well before the hearing has been scheduled. This will result in fewer problems within the record when it comes time for a judge to hear your case.

We are a local law firm familiar with the local Social Security Offices, local hearings offices, local claims representatives, local disability examiners, and local judges in Southern Louisiana and Mississippi. We have been personally representing clients before judges in Alexandria, Houma, Baton Rouge, Metairie, New Orleans, Hattiesburg, and Gulfport for over two decades. We have offices in Metairie, Mandeville and Baton Rouge.

Come to our Local Office

As Social Security attorneys, we are familiar with all the local district offices, Disability Determination Offices in Louisiana and Mississippi, local community resources such as free health care, mental health providers and local doctors. Out-of-town attorneys farm out cases to local attorneys right before the hearing so the client is left with someone who has no knowledge of the case prior to the hearing. We are different, which is why you should always come to us at one of our local offices.
